Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains which cookies the Yrendr website uses and when they are stored on your device.
Consent first
The public Yrendr website does not set optional measurement cookies before you make a choice in the cookie banner. You can accept or reject optional cookies. Your choice is stored so the website does not ask you again on every page.
You can reopen Cookie settings from the footer at any time and change your choice. Rejecting optional cookies also removes the Yrendr unique-download cookie from the browser.
Download statistics without cookies
Yrendr keeps a simple aggregate count when a published release or plugin download is requested. This total counter does not use a tracking cookie or browser identifier and does not attempt to identify whether multiple downloads came from the same person or browser.
This means a download can still increase the total download count when optional cookies are rejected. Optional consent is used only for the separate unique-download estimate described below.
Cookies used by Yrendr
yrendr_cookie_consent
This is a first-party preference cookie that records whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies. It contains either accepted or rejected and can remain on your device for up to one year.
This cookie is used only to remember your privacy choice. It is not used for advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking.
yrendr_download_id
This optional first-party cookie is set only after you accept optional cookies and then request a Yrendr release or plugin download. It contains a randomly generated browser identifier and can remain on your device for up to two years.
Yrendr uses the identifier to avoid repeatedly counting the same browser for the same downloadable item. The raw identifier is not stored in the database. The website stores a one-way keyed hash linked to the requested release or plugin for basic unique-download statistics.
If you reject optional cookies, this cookie is not created. Your download can still be included in the anonymous total download counter, but it is not included in the consent-based unique-browser count.
Administration cookies
Protected administration pages can use a session cookie after an administrator signs in. This cookie is required for authentication and security of the administration area and is not used for public advertising or behavioural profiling.
Future cookies or tracking technologies
If Yrendr introduces additional optional analytics, advertising or tracking technologies, they should remain disabled until the required consent has been obtained. The cookie banner and this Cookie Policy should be updated before those technologies are enabled.
External services
The website may request resources from external providers, such as web fonts, a CDN or an external download host. Those providers may process technical request information under their own privacy terms. Links that take you to another website are also governed by that website's privacy and cookie practices.
Changes to your choice
Use the Cookie settings control in the website footer to reopen the consent banner. Choosing Reject stores your rejection preference and removes the optional yrendr_download_id cookie. Choosing Accept allows the optional unique-download cookie to be created when you download eligible Yrendr content.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when Yrendr changes its website functionality or cookie use. The version and effective date shown on this page identify the policy currently in use.
