Timeline Processors Version 1.1Updated 26 Sep 2026

Processor result format

A timeline processor returns data for Yrendr to validate and apply on the main thread. The processor must not mutate the live project directly.

Supported return values

A processor may return:

  • None when no changes are required;
  • a list of action dictionaries;
  • a result dictionary containing actions, outputs and an optional message.

Example:

Python
return {
    "actions": [...],
    "outputs": [...],
    "message": "Created transcript clips",
}

Result rules

  • actions must be a list when present.
  • outputs must be a list when present.
  • Non-dictionary list items are ignored during normalization.
  • message is converted to text for user-facing status.

Note: Outputs are materialized before actions are applied, allowing create_clip actions to refer to newly created Project Viewer assets through asset_ref.

Caution: Unsupported or invalid actions fail the apply stage. Yrendr restores the pre-run project snapshot instead of keeping a partial timeline mutation.
