Clip and asset types
The current project model uses seven clip categories. Their properties differ, but they all participate in the same track and timing system.
| Type | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Video | File-backed moving image, optionally with audio. |
| Image | File-backed still image. |
| Text | Editor-generated text. |
| Audio | File-backed audio-only media. |
| Subtitle | Timed subtitle text or imported subtitle data. |
| Shape | Editor-generated geometric graphic. |
| Generator | Procedural visual content supplied by a plugin. |
Visual clips
Video, image, text, subtitle, shape and generator clips can be transformed and composited visually.
Audio-reactive visuals are no longer a built-in clip type. They can be implemented as generator plugins using Yrendr's timeline audio-analysis context.
Audio-capable clips
Video and audio sources can participate in the audio pipeline. Track audio FX are applied before the timeline mix, followed by Master audio FX.
