Workspace layouts

Workspace layouts control panel visibility and size without changing project media or edits.

Open workspace layouts with Ctrl+Shift+L. The layout editor lets you enable, disable and resize panels, including the integrated Graph Editor. When the available height is limited, the settings panel scrolls.

The Graph Editor lives in the Timeline dock: opening it with F3 uses the Timeline's time ruler instead of a separate Automation timeline. Save a layout that keeps both the Timeline tracks and the Graph Editor visible when doing animation-heavy work.

You can also toggle panels directly with F1 through F6. The detached Preview (F6) is independent of the embedded Preview (F5).
