Inspector & Graph editor Version 1.1Updated 29 Sep 2026

Clip properties and transforms

Selecting a timeline clip shows controls for its type in the Inspector. Timing settings determine its placement and duration. A media-backed instance also retains source timing for correct trim/split behavior.

Position, scale and rotation

Visual clips expose horizontal and vertical position, rotation and scale. In 1.1, Scale X and Scale Y are linked by default. Use the link control to unlock the two axes when you need a non-uniform stretch or independent scale animation.

The Transform section is collapsible. You can edit values in Inspector or manipulate the selected clip directly in Preview. Both approaches update the same project properties.

Animate a transform

Press F3 to open the integrated Graph Editor. Select position, scale or rotation, add keyframes and choose Value or Speed view. When scale is linked, use the linked scale property; unlock it for independent axes.

Editing the source

For images, video and audio, the primary action can replace the linked media source. Text clips have a primary Edit action; the source and placed instances have intentionally different update rules documented in Project Viewer.
