Render performance
Render speed depends on more than the final video encoder. Yrendr still has to decode sources, evaluate automation, process plugins, transform surfaces, composite layers, mix audio and then encode the result.
Quality changes workload
Draft and Standard reduce the internal visual render scale, so effect-heavy video projects process fewer pixels before final output. High and Maximum use the full requested render resolution.
Audio-only rendering skips the visual frame pipeline entirely, which is useful when the project only needs a mixed audio deliverable.
Use Render Profiler
Press F7 after or during performance investigation. Profiles include timing buckets, selected media format and individual plugin processor timings where available.
- High decode time points to source-media decoding.
- High plugin time points to Track or Master FX.
- High conversion/compositing time points to visual frame work.
- High audio processing time points to automation, Track audio FX, Master audio FX or mixing.
- High final encode time points toward the chosen output codec/encoder.
Preview quality is separate
Lower Preview quality when you need smoother editing. Preview quality is not a final-render optimization; choose the Render window's quality and format separately.
