Automation

Automation stores time-varying property values as keyframes on a clip. Toggle the panel with F3.

Add a keyframe

Ctrl+K adds a keyframe for the active automation property at the current playhead.

Selection

Click a point to select it. Drag an empty Automation area to marquee-select multiple points. Multiple selected points can be moved together.

Delete

Right-click a point or press Delete while automation points are selected.

Pan and zoom

Middle-mouse drag pans Automation in two axes. Hold Ctrl and use the mouse wheel for horizontal time zoom. Hold Ctrl and middle-mouse drag vertically to change lane height/value zoom around the pointer anchor.

Copy and paste

Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V operate on selected automation when automation selection is active. Otherwise they fall back to timeline clip copy/paste.
