Inspector & Automation Version 1.0Updated 26 Sep 2026

Inspector

Inspector is the main property and FX panel. Toggle it with F1.

Scope dropdown

The control at the top of Inspector selects its working scope. Choose Master or one of the project's tracks. The dropdown is drawn as an overlay, so opening it does not push the Inspector content downward.

The list scrolls when there are more tracks than fit in the available space.

Master

Master contains project-wide controls such as canvas background and the Master plugin chain. Master FX are applied after visual compositing or after the timeline audio mix.

Track scope

A track scope places track identity/actions first, followed by the track plugin chain. Track actions include rename, color, mute/unmute and delete.

Clicking the body of a track in the Timeline does not automatically switch Inspector to that track. Use the track's explicit edit action when you want to edit track settings.

Selected clip

When a timeline clip is selected, its clip-specific controls are shown in Inspector together with the relevant scope information. Available controls depend on clip type. Primary actions for the selected clip are placed near the top of its section.

Scrolling and overlays

The mouse wheel scrolls Inspector when the pointer is over the panel. Inspector dropdown overlays capture pointer interaction so controls underneath are not hovered or clicked through the open menu.
