Project Viewer

Project Viewer is the reusable asset layer of a Yrendr project. Toggle it with F2.

Assets versus timeline clips

An asset can exist once in Project Viewer and be placed on the Timeline multiple times. Each timeline instance has its own timing and editable state while still referencing the underlying asset.

Supported project items

Project Viewer can contain imported media and editor-generated items such as text, subtitles, shapes and plugin generators. Timeline processors can also return files or generated assets that Yrendr registers here.

Layer order

Items can be reordered in Project Viewer. This order is used as the project layer ordering for relevant visual assets.

Deleting an asset

Deleting a Project Viewer asset also removes timeline instances linked to that asset. Yrendr does this deliberately so clips cannot keep references to an asset that no longer exists.

Placing assets

Drag an asset to Timeline to create an instance at a track/time. Dropping visual assets into Preview can create an instance using the drop position as a starting placement.
